Re: [FWDLK] Virus

The Klez virus searches your computer for email addresses in both your email program and your web browser's cache files. It will choose addresses it finds randomly to put in BOTH the "To:" and "From:" lines. Therefore it may seem that someone has "sent you a virus" when in actuality that person has not.

Clever, but very annoying. I do recommend keeping your antivirus up-to-date at least weekly!

  Fellow list members,

It has been brought to my attention that at least one person on this list has received a virus from my old e-mail address: jeffpozniak@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx I'm not sure how this happened as I do use an anti-virus program. Not only that, but my old e-mail address no longer exists....go figure! Anyway, I feel terrible about this and I hope it won't happen again. Just to be safe, disregard any e-mails that have been sent from my old address should you happen to get any. My new e-mail address is wbmstr1958@xxxxxxxxxxx

  I apologize for any inconvenience

  Jeff
