[FWDLK] 61 New Yorker Update

Hello All,
Well, I went and looked at the 61 New Yorker. On the plus side, it has a good running 413, shifts just fine and seems to drive and stop straight. Also, all the trim is there save the trim below the rear deck lid next to the taillights. On the negative, it has rust in both rear quarters, at the bottom where they all rust, and we are talking non-existent metal in some areas. Also in the fenders above the headlights there are two rust holes about the size of a baseball on each side. The paint is badly oxidized and there is surface rust. The interior is decent, but would need at the least, the back package tray, the drivers front door panel, and the front seats recovered. The paint is a dark metallic green that I will have to look up. Car has been sitting since at least '93, and the plate on it says 1972. Did not think to check the milage. So, the question, the guy is asking $2000.00.

Sound fair?

Lemme know,
Charles.
