Well, it was a sad day. I've owned my 56 Savoy since 1989 and
for the second time since 89 I broke down and had to get towed home. Well really
this time was only a pull, I was about 3/10 of a mile from home.
the car just shut off. crank, crank, crank and no run. I
looked at the glass fuel filter and it's empty. I know the gas tank is almost
full, I filled it up this morning. So the only guess I can come with is a bad
fuel pump. I'm surprised at that because it's only about 1.5 years old.
But that's the only guess I can come up with unless someone
has another.
I'll swap it out tomorrow night and see how things
go.
