Re: [FWDLK] e-bay situation/opinion

Ed,

I have bought at least 100 items off eBay. All have arrived within a
reasonable time after the seller shipped it. Never had a complaint of a lost
payment.

I also have a small business selling an oil filter adapter. I have shipped
at least 500 via USPS Priority Mail. Not one has ever gotten lost. The only
problem with delivery of a payment from a customer was one that was 4 weeks
late from the time he sent it. He emailed to ask the status of his order
after 2 weeks and I said it had not arrived. He sent a second payment. The
original payment did arrive a week after I shipped his item and was
postmarked the day he said he sent it. He did say his local Post Office was
an occasional problem.

My bills never seem to get lost either.

Hello List members

General question for you guys who have been buying and selling on e-bay for
a while (100 or more transactions??)

Generally speaking how often do shipments TRULY get lost???
Do 'LOST' items ever show up months later??

I use US mail generally 1st class or priority and I have had 3 'lost' items
in the last 6 weeks????
2 items I have mailed out and 1 item (payment) sent to me

If these are the long term odds,,,I think I have had enough
