[FWDLK] first A/C in car

Hi,
Sorry to borrow you with a subject which has been already seen in the
list but i have deleted the posts.
In a very informative french magazine about old cars, someone stated
that the 1st A/C (US) cars were sold in 1954. I know itsn't the truth
but as i'll write to this magazine i must have facts ! If i remember
well, seems that on some pre WWII cars (1941-42 Packard, others ?), A/C
was an option but none were sold. Chrysler introduced Air Temp in 1953
(?) but does someone has other facts for the 1946-52 cars ?
Thanks
