Jack, et al, the Sono's are NOT quiet!  They ARE deep-chested-sounding,
& smooth; full-bodied, but NOT quiet; NOT as LOUD as Hemi-mufflers,
cause a friend has those on a
59CRL conv, & THOSE guys are loud.

I investigated "stainless" -v- aluminized pipes, & the latter 'won'; I'm
glad I  chose aluminized, which are NOT overly 'shiney', & actually look
like "new" steel (with 'blemishes') ; NOT like those aluminized exhaust
headers  (ahem).

So, if you want your stationwagon to be a good, up-right citizen,  stay
away from the Sonos.
If you don't mind a bit of 'Bad-Boy'  association,
the Sonos will fill the bill.
