Subject: [FWDLK] Do People Still Restore Cars ?

Reading the brakes thread has me thinking about this topic: Do people still restore cars ?  By 'restore', I mean "bring back to original condition as it left the dealer's showroom".    Restorification seems to be quite popular these days.  Must swap out that rear end.  Must put the largest engine into my car. Must bore that engine out to .060. Must paint my car red.  Must swap generator for alternator, etc.  Any thoughts ?

BTW, I realize that it's YOUR CAR and you can do with it WHATEVER you want.  So let's not get off-topic by going down that road...
