The '58 Custom Royal conv D500 I once owned in the late 60's had the 361 with two inline 4bbl WCFB carbs with progressive linkage and was factory rated at 310 HP.

 

I can't recall what the engine designation was on the "pad", however a 413 from a 59 New Yorker bolted right in place of the 361 after it "went south" on me.
