Excelent idea! We get involved in these e-mail discussions and loose sight of the fact that most have never met or talked to each other, let alone knowing where they live.
Most e-mail addresses are kinda mysterious and give no or only a slight clue to the sender. And "R" as a signature dosen't help much either.
Usually, you can go to your preferences or message file and choose "signature". Then you can just insert your name and location (or anything else you want to go out on ALL your e-mails) and it becomes automatic, after going to accounts and picking it as a default.

Below is an example, and it now is just there whenever I send an E-mail.
