Check the tank first, my 56 has a plug on the bottom of the tank, makes it easy to drain.

Jack,
Do not try to pump the stale gas out using the enine's fuel pump. You will clog up the tank screen filter!
If possible, disconnect the fuel line jsut before the fuel pump, then blow air back down the line, and then siphon out the stale gas.

Well everyone i now have a 60 Plymouth wagon in the barn. The rear wheels turn but the front ones do not. However i put a battery in it and guess what?It turns and fires so an oil change seems appropriate and maybe i can loosen a gas line and try to pump the tank dry.Any other tips from a great group of Tail Finn fanatics is surely welcome and appreciated.Jack in snowy Michigan     P.S The nice lady that sold it to me says it honestly has but 52,000 miles on it
