Re: [FWDLK] IGNITION WIRE LOOMS

Sure have Lou,
On my 61 DeSoto, I sandblasted them, painted and then as Dave said, dipped them about four time, waited to dry between dips. The dip stuff got thicker between dips and that helped too. Had to pour it in a little bigger container because the brackets wouldn't fit in the original can.
Tip......... as they are drying you need to rotate the brackets, to keep tits forming from dripping.

have you had luck with actually DIPPING the looms?  It didnt work for me, and I ended up brushing it on in layers until it seemed to look OK.

Yup -- "Plasti-dip" will do it.  It's usually used for coating tool handles, but works fine for the wire looms.

Hello list members

Does anyone know if the wire looms that support the plug wires over the valve covers,,,can be re-coated  with the black rubber-plastic insulation???

I have an idea to improvise,,,but if anyone does it--GREAT
