Thanks, Ron.  Actually, I am probably the KING of complicating things. But, I  have tried the wheel swap.  Even determined that my wheels are slightly bent.  However, There was no real change with the other wheels which run fine on the other car.  I took my wheels to a wheel shop anyway, where they true them up.  This, plus the test drive that the local retired mopar expert mechanic took the car on is pointing to the rear..as you said, bad bearing(s) either outer or in the center section, or the tailshaft bearing/bushing/whatever.   Sooo, I am just trying to price out my options (replace the rear, rebuild the rear, etc ).

LOU, THIS MAY SOUND DUMB, BUT OFTEN WE COMPLICATE SIMPLE THINGS, IT COULD BE A REAR WHEEL BEING OUT OF BALANCE OR A BENT WHEEL, OR BROKEN BELTS IN ONE OF THE TIRES. I SUGGESTS YOU TAKE WHEELS AND TIRES FROM ANOTHER CAR AND PUT THEM ON THE CAR WITH THE VIBRATION AND DRIVE IT A MILE OR TWO. IF THE VIBRATION GOES AWAY------YOU SAVE A LOT OF MONEY. YOU CAN'T ALWAYS SEE A BENT WHEEL OR A TIRE DEFECT.
