Anyone hit this show? Someone was mentioning a neat car they saw over on a
Pontiac list I am on... as follows:

Subject: Re: Hydra-matic - a modern swap?

Probably for the cool factor. At the Mopar show and shine last weekend here
in
Calgary, Alberta, Canada, there were the normal 440 cid, 340s and Hemis but
the car that caught everyone's eye was the 59 Dodge with the supercharged,
EFI and distributerless slant six!

The guy added the EFI and supercharger off of a 3.8L thunderbird and the
distributer less ignition off a late model Chevy. I wish that I had taken
pictures, it was very well done and looked factory stock - no hack job!

The slant six worked well because it has lots of room to add the
supercharger
without modding the hood. Very nice.

Now that sure beats the old SBC for coolness

Hi Dave,

There is no way to tell from the 10-digit VIN. Back then, the VINs simply
indicated the following:

9 - Imperial

3 - Le Baron (1 - Custom; 2 - Crown; 9 - Ghia Limousine)

0 - Year (60)

4 - Warren Road facility (1959 or 1960)

115473 - Sequence #15473 (of 17719) to leave Warren Road

Did you try looking under the backseat (or behind the seatback) for the
broadcast sheet? (Admittedly, it's probably not there.)

Rich

'60 Imperial Crown 2-dr Southampton

'62 Imperial Le Baron 4-dr Southampton

'64 Imperial Le Baron

Hi Dave,

I was able to get broadcast sheets for two of my Imperials less than two
years ago. One was for a 1962 (built early in the model year), and the
other was for a 1964 (built in March, 1964).

Today I got in touch with the museum @ Dearborn, with asking some basic
information. The reply was that all the microfilm information had been
destroyed some time back. Going by what they say other than the build sheet
our car has no history, if that is the case where do I need to start to
look.?

Regards

Dave.
