Looks kind of goofy - roof proportions aren't quite right, to me it looks
too short -
I think had this vehicle actually been built, like the Ranchero it would
share panels with the 2-door sedan and 2-door wagon shell. Which would
improve the proportions of the top area - I think that would have been a
nice looking little hauler.
I toyed with the same idea for my New Yorker wagon when I found out it was
severely rotted in the back and would require major surgery anyhow. What I
found, messing on the computer with some photos turned line drawings, is
that it would be nearly impossible to make it look right without completely
fabricating the new top. Shortening the basic hardtop roof line made it
look, well, weird. While it might one day go 2-door, I don't see me
cutting the top off (and I couldn't mess with that until the bottom was
repaired anyways).
