Re: [FWDLK] Gas Shocks?

John,
I agree, I have had very good success with KYB's in everything from a 69
Skylark to a 93 minivan. I a light car like the minivan you willl notice a
bit of a firmer ride, not truck harsh more like a european car. On a heavy
car like the Buick I eliminated a lot of body roll and mushiness. The ride
quality did not noticibley suffer.
I an not where near putting shocke in my 56 but I will use the kyb's when i
get there.

Only way to go, as far as I am concerned: KYB shocks. They are 500 times
better than anything else out there. Really. I have installed them on all
my Mopars, and the improvement in handling is...shocking, to say the least !

Get #KG4507 for the front (will need to grind off a little bit of the lower
metal "tube" thru which the attaching bolt fits through) and #KG5511 for
the rears.

I have just finished restoring my 58 Firedome Conv. and I am finding it very hard to find the original type std. hydrualic shocks. I guess no makes them any longer. I have tried the new gas shocks from Monroe on several other 50's cars and have had very poor luck with the handling. > > The salesman at Kanter tells me that their shocks work well with radial tires on the 50's cars.
