[FWDLK] K&N AIR FILTERS ??????

Neil,

On your question on the K&N air cleaner. If you noticed any difference in increased gas mileage it was because the mileage was watched closer because you just purchased a new and very expensive air filter and you were looking for positive results plus naturally the old air filter you through away was dirtier. I am sure K&N filters are less restrictive but I find it hard to believe that there is that much difference using them on a stock 2bbl or 4 bbl engine. Now on a racing 426 Hemi with 2/4 bbl at high RPM's maybe? If what they claim is true, then if you put a small screen over your carburetor or took the air cleaner off and ran without it then you would notice an increase in gas mileage also.

Just my .02-------I could be wrong?
