I believe the 40 and 41 Plymouths had the starter
button on the dash. I know for sure that the 46 through early 49 Models
also had the button on the dash. Starting with the late 49's, which
was the new body style, the starter was engaged by the ignition key. I
know because I have a 48, 49 and 50 Plymouth.
