Was it me, I'd see if I could find a reasonable junkyard unit.  Not to
necessarily replace the old, but that way you could swap it in while yours
is off to the rebuilder - then if you need to move the car for some reason,
it's still drivable.  Of course, if you happen to find one that looks good
inside and steers tight, you're all set.
