Re: [FWDLK] RED PLYMOUTH FURY

Ricky Nelson had a '57 Belvedere convert, dark color without SporTone.  I have a pic in a 1957 Teen magazine and it was also shown on a TV special a while back.

I thought Christine was a Belvedere.

Dear Group,

I hate to break anybody bubble but I personally drove my 1956 Fury to 8 different dealers in 1957 and then again in 1958 just to see Furys in the showroom. No one told me about it ----I was there.  It was very very hard for a dealer to get a Fury and when they did get one it was a really big deal. You were lucky to get one even if you had the cash!!!! So now almost 50 years later the hot news is out that they made different color Furys. Come on guys------people will tell you anything now days. Yes, I heard the story about Ricky Nelson had a black one straight from the new car dealer-----------errrra  or is that new car dealer paint shop.
Check these so called factory colored Furys out and if you look really really close and know where to look you will see they were originally Buckskin Beige.
The movie Christine got everybody wanting to have that only Red Fury off the assembly line ---------
BUT THAT WAS A MOVIE---- THAT WAS A MOVIE SET ASSEMBLY LINE----NOT REAL LIFE.
