Re: [FWDLK] DeSoto valve covers.

Hmmm...

I have a 1948 Desoto with the original flat head six.
I also have a 392, a 354, and a 1955 DeSoto engine.
The valve covers are different length (Sizes, actually)
between the engines. No way will a small DeSoto hemi valve cover fir a
Chrysler hemi like the 354 or 392.
Thos are the big mommas. Dodge hemi was another unique size, also
smaller. Plymouth didn't have its own hemi
until the 426.

I need the spark plug cover (sheetmetal formed piece) that covers the
plug wires on the passenger side of the 55 DeSoto engine. If anyone can
sell a spare, please contact me.

Thanks,

Local hotrod shop has a 48 DeSoto with a 392 chrysler hemi. Are the
DeSoto
valve covers the same dimensions and interchangeable with the Chrysler?
 The
owner would rather have DeS on the covers than Chry.
