My friendly local locksmith put at least two hours into it, and after
several broken key blanks and a phone call or two to his brother,
concluded that the American Motors key blank 'cut back on the shank
for deeper reach' fit more locks than the later ('70's?) looking key
(#P1270U) he used for the first crack at the ignition solution.
He'll be back tomorrow afternoon, with the g love box latch in hand,
hopefully with a tailgate, door, ignition solution all in harmony!
