Re: [FWDLK] Who out there.. Only buys American Cars?

I know your point is true.. But..
From what I know Japan does not allow the same scenario as we do for them.. The American cars are over priced compared to the others so we dont have the same advatage as they do. Which hurts our economy.

Yes, Tom, but…

… what constitutes an “American” car nowadays:  my trusty Subaru Outback was built in my home state of Indiana by gen-u-ine Hoosiers, including a couple of cousins.  Toyota, Nissan and Honda have been here for years employing Americans with good paying jobs, and Hyundai is now on board.

Plus, let us not forget what crappy products Detroit was turning out in the 70’s and 80’s, until better built competition from Japan forced them to pay closer attention to quality issues.  We have better American cars today than we ever would have had otherwise.

I am one that sticks to this.. Keep the money flowing in the US only!!! Tell all who are looking at Honda, Toyota etc.. to keep the money here.. Not in Nagasaki..

BUT!

Slowly, more and more items are being built out of the US.. I understand cheaper labor costs.. But come on.. Advertise it as such.. They don't even market it as that.. they just try to go heads up.. Play the Patriot card.. I just don't get it..

Chevy closing more factories... Ford having more cars made in Canada and Mexico.. Mopar now Daimler Chrysler.. (The Dodge bros are turning in there graves!!))Toyota building cars in the US.. Getting into NASCAR!! UGggg.. when will the madness end!!

Sorry had to vent~!
