[FWDLK] Tucked and Rolled

SMS has always treated me well, but my advise to anyone who may be
interested in getting their upholstery-material 'quickly', is to email
them images of exactly what you need, to see if they've got it, in
stock.

They can, then, mail you a sample, or, you can send them a suitable
sample, if the material needs to be custom-made.

They used to require a down payment on their
upholstety production, dunno about now.

I'd SURE try to get them to commit in writing (@ least, in an email) as
to when your cloth would be produced, and @ what price.

I'd also let them know that you intend to show up, in-person, to inspect
their product, so that (waiting for them to) ship(ping) , is not
necessary.

When you do go, be sure to bring-along a piece of your cloth, for
"final" comparison purposes.

I do know that their vinyl (altho having correct color & pattern) is
inferior, in substance, to the O.E.M. "Pellon" (reinforcing
under-liner) -backed vinyl that the 57+s had 'on' them..

So, my suggestions are:

1. see if they've got your stuff in stock
2. try to get them to commit as to when your
material will be produced (with as little down' as
possible----tell em you'll pay, when the
job is done, when you physically obtain it--
     good luck!)
3. physically inspect the product, when you
    obtain (pay for) it.

SMS merely produces 'raw' sheet material, which is good, for you, as you
can have your local shop sew-up the materials, under your advise, and
direction.

Original Auto Interiors, at least, on/for a friend's
59 Dodge, insisted upon their sewing-up the seats, before they would
agree to sell their material. It 'developed' that there was a slight
pattern mis-match, in their 'original' cloth, but once the seats were
stitched up, it was too-late, to try to find any other 'matching'
material.

Don't delay, in 'ordering' your upholstery!
