I had the same problem with my 57 Dodge. I found the answer in my 
workshop manual and the bulb at Pep Boys. It's only that I've lent my 
manual to someone I can not reach now... Could be 1816, since I have 
some cartons left...
Be carefull not to use to much candle power, I changed my lens because 
the prior owner did use a bulb with to much cancle power, and the red 
lens is melted.
