Re: [FWDLK] Mirrormatic on EBAY

I have the newer version of this mirror in my 300M.  I wonder how they would be in a "not original" Fwdlk. car?   I would guess cheaper than the $300 + I have seen the originals sell for on Ebay.   I have a good friend that has a salvage yard...late model cars only... mostly Chrysler products.  I should ask how much he would get for a used one off a wreck.
May be a highly sought after option for the old finsters, but I find they are not all they are cracked up to be on the newer models.  If the lights behind you do not hit the sensor pretty much straight on, the mirror doesn't dim/light up inside.  The problem we have on the 300M is the rear spoiler is located at about the same level as the sensor on the mirror and blocks the light, leaving you with a useless day/night feature, and bright lights reflecting in your eyes off mirror.  (maybe we just have a dud!)
Just my thoughts on Mirrormatics.

They may have been most common in Imperials but were offered across the line, the repair procedure is listed in the '59 Plymouth repair manual meaning that they were offered in Plymouths.
