Hello All,
              The wire for the Mirror-Matic for Plymouths went through a
dealer or factory drilled hole to the aft-right of the mirror base. There
was a grommet either chrome plated steel or rubber (I've had both) that
secured the wire and prevented it from chaffing. I can confirm this with
factory/dealer installation instructions. Hope this helps.
