Where are the engine numbers located?

I have 2 engines and would like to know the horse power and engine type they are. The 1st one is :1836844 and the second one came off a 1958 Plymouth Savoy 4 dr Sedan .

I was watching Myth Busters and heard about a 1957 Dodge Royal Lancer that had the gas tank pulled out and a Jato Rocket put in.  It was said that made 140 Miles Per Hour.  Does anyone know about this or have a link to more info on this being done?

Thanks,
Kelly
