You are correct. I did not look on Ebay at the car, but Sportsman sub-models may be either 2 or 4 doors, but NO PILLARS. If that car says Sportsman on it, it's WRONG.

The Explorer wagon had the rear-facing third seat. Shopper did not.

PS. Another DeSoto question: what is the difference between a Shopper wagon and an Explorer wagon? Is it the rear-facing third seat, the model, or something entirely different?
