[FWDLK] head light door on a 57

I am restoring the headlights doors / bezel on my 57 Plymouth....

The ground wire for the turn/parking lamp has broken off on one of them.

I would like to know where I need to reconnect it to?

Can I attach it to the door/bezel or dose it need to be reconnected back into the lamp socket??

The socket in pressed into the bezel and the power cord is fitted to the socket with a rubber boot.

On the other side the ground is running through that boot.
