Re: [FWDLK] Electrical problems

hello everyone,  thank you for all your help. yesterday morning i started checking everything and nothing would work so i decided to pull out the dash, fun job, when i went to take out the gauges the dome light went on, everything worked, i decided to take the whole dash out anyway to see if i could find the problem, the only thing that i could determine was the either the amp power wire was a little loose or it  was shorting out on the amp gauge, the studs on the amp gauge are pretty long and the back of the gauge was covered in masking tape from the factory, not a good insulation from all these years it was quite brittle. this is the only place i can figure the problem was, i tested it by taking off the wire and everything went dead as before. this was quite the experience, i will test drive it today and hopefully i have it fixed, i will be leading the Clydesdales this coming Saturday at the bad boys car show in St. Cloud, MN so i do not need any problems. electrical problems are not my favorite problem to fix. now to just put the dash back together and i'm hopefully ready to go. thanks again for all your suggestions.  jim
