Isn’t this the same stuff that was called “upper cylinder lube” and ingested through a hollow plate under the carb to lube the valve stems?

 

That may still be a good idea with unleaded gasoline no longer providing that lube.  Anyone doing that?

In ALL my years in this hobby, of ALL the additives and MARVELous things that have been advertised and have almost all disappeared, I don't think I hve EVER been without Marvel Mystery Oil on the shelf of my garage.  It works!  Use it according to the directions as well as for anything else you care to apply it to.  My most recent use was in a motor that had only been turned over once since 1958.  I let some sit in the cylinders for 10 days and the motor is free as a bird.
