The problem of course will be to find a paper element
with dimensions that can be made to work inside your original oil
bath housing. Because of the range of possibilities of how the oil
bath is originally configured, it might not be possible every time, however
considering the plethora of applications of paper filters, including all
automotive plus trucks plus tractors including construction equipment, there is
very probably an element that will fit. The important thing would be
to seal the ends of the paper element against the housing both near and far from
the carburetor inlet. That could require considerable
adaptation.
