Just remove all of the inside windshield trim pieces (held by phillips type
screws).  Use a plastic knife or similar tool and run it between the glass
and the rubber, all the way around, inside and out.  If you can fit it in,
do the same between the rubber and the metal lip it sits on.   Any stainless
on the outside also needs to be removed.

You may want to squirt a soapy water solution in around the glass to
lubricate it, also, though I've never had to on a removal.

Then, you just push it out.  I've found the easiest way to do this is, put
on some clean sneakers, and lay across the top of your seat and push with
both feet, towards the outer corners, with steady light pressure until it
pops out.

I've pulled a '58 big rear glass, '60 rear glass, and '58 Imperial front and
rear glass this way so far, plus glass in other (read GM) cars.   Haven't
broken one yet, except one I tried to take some shortcuts on -
