Yes, they did, I've seen two such original '55 DeS hardtops.  And one was a Firedome to further prove the availability of the option.   

What I found particularly interesting was that the pattern of sewing in the leather (as regards which way the pleats run) was the OPPOSITE of what a '55 Chrysler 300 was.

I'd love to have a '55 monotone Firedome with leather and AC!

Did the 1955 Desoto Fireflite have an 'all leather' option ? A car that I
looked at had both the upper and insert portions of the seats done in
leather. I thought it was supposed to be cloth and vinyl or cloth and
leather. Any 55 Desoto folks out there ?
