Hello, I have gotten some great ways to open the door, when I replace the door latch will the 4 door and 2 door latches interchange??

This happened to my car as well, what worked for me was- with the windows rolled down I could see the latch from above in the door jam. I used a long drill bit and effectively cut the (body) latch in two, that is to say the latch piece that attaches to the body, the door openned and all I had to do was remove and replace this piece and of course fix the broken door latch that caused the problem. I was able to remove the door panel much easier after the door was open. Hope this helps Tim
