Re: [FWDLK] Mechanical Arts

I've received multiple copies of both the response below from Roy as well as the "Educated" post from Roy (about three or four of each).  I'm not complaining, as I can hit the delete button with the best of them, but I'm just curious if it's just me or if everyone has received multiple copies.

What's Stig's/Roy's point?  That 'mechanics' feel that they are not
being appreciated, or, are being "dis-respected", despite  their hard
work, by "higher-educated" people, (who "do not" work on their cars,
but, merely pay to have someone else work on their cars.)
Come on Neil,
I reread my first email to the list (copy below). The only point I could decipher from it is, the amount of education has nothing to do with this list. We are on it, to share our experiences and any knowledge we might have gained, be you a collage grad or never attended school. I never mentioned anything about the amount of education having anything to with how much of one's own work one does.

Is it not great that, we on this list, are all so educated? I would think it would be more important to us, that there is another Forwardlook car to save, then be concerned about some ones lack of education.
I live two doors away from a man that restores cars and does not use an once of body filler. His cars go for over one hundred thousand dollars and that, with just a sixth grade education.
In other words, lets stick to sharing and helping each other and leave the criticizing to the politicians.

PS..... You have my permission to criticize my grammar and spelling, but you will be hard pressed to find reason to criticize my changing a rust bucket into a 61 DeSoto.
