[FWDLK] '61's really get a BAD 'rap' !....

This side-view, of the Phoenix, (which arguably has a "less" attractive
fin-treatment, than the 'deeper-finned-with side-mounted tail light'
Polara models ) is still beautiful, IMHO!

If the full-on rear, and front/grille views could have been made as
'graceful', as the side aspect, the 61 Dodge would not have been
'ridiculed', as it was.

In fact, if y'all will recall Paul Garlick's custom "Plodge" (with the
61 PLY front clip), it actually looked OK/GOOD/BETTER than with the
Dodge front clip.

Paul went 'over-board', when he stuck a "spare-tire" (I forget the
POLITE term, for it!)
decklid, on his ' invention ', though!

Rather than post a second screed, if anyone's interested, Epay #
6615894208 features a
$20.00 Buy-it-Now 8x10" Factory photo, of the Prototype 1960 Matador,
with the not-made-it-to-production extra-long side molding, which
extended all the way, to the tail light. The OEM molding stopped
just-short of the (painted-) tail light bezel.

This pic was taken on the hi-speed banking, @ the Proving Grounds, & is
really a NICE pic.

1st 'come', 1st 'bought' !!!
