[FWDLK] Single bulb turn flasher.....how did they do that?

ForwardLookers......my 61 Dart has a single bulb for both the left and right flashing dashing warning.  Either left or right is indicated on the same bulb.  I wish to duplicate this feature on a 48 Chrysler but am baffled.  Connecting an offshoot wire from both sides to a single bulb creates an "emergency flasher" with feedback fueling both sides at the same time.  A dual filament bulb would work with one bright and the other dimmer, but how did Dodge do it with a single filament small indicator lamp?  Any body solved this in the past?  Larry Jett, soon to be less one 1961 Dodge.  Look to this space in middle of January for a report of how Barrett Jackson treated "DodgeDifferent"  Number 332 on Wednesday.
