Re: [FWDLK] Brakedrum hub puller

If the brake light comes on as you describe you most likely have a problem with the master cylinder. Either something is keeping the brake pedal from from coming all the way back up, or else the little compensator(equalizer?) hole in the cylinder bore (usually visible in the bottom of the fluid reservoir) is plugged. Next time the light is on, loosen one of the fittings on the master cylinder to see if there is pressure there, with the brake pedal released.
Same thing happened to Me once when the snap ring in the end of the master cylinder corroded, building up a ring of rust that held the piston in just enough to keep the compensator port closed.

Does any one know where I can buy or rent one?  I have pulled the fronts, and everything looks fine.  I have backed off the back brakes.  What happens is that the brake fluid get very hot after I drive the car for 10 miles to the point that the brake light comes on from the pressure.  Strange.  I hear no noise and when it does it and I get down and put my hands on everything including the axle hub, it is not hot.
