Re: [FWDLK] aluminum radiators and electric fans

Aluminum radiators are definitely the way to go, i have used 7 so far in 57-9 plymouths with great success, needless to say, the best example is a healthy 440-powered 58 that runs at 180 no matter what the temp is outside, driving, traffic, street racing, or blasting down the track in the 12sec margin...
my daily driven 383 powered 59 fury also has the alum rad and runs cool too, 185 on the hottest days... not that i ever really had a car that runs hot, i know some people suffer from 220 degree situations trying to drive their cars.

i use the griffin and summit radiators, they are crossflow, so all you have to do is fab up 2 lower cradles, and an upper retainer, every time i do it, i do the top a little different, for looks, all but 1 were fabbed, one of the latest i used a narrowed GM a-body support top, do it neatly and it looks appropriate.  email privately, i can give dimensions, part #s, and/or pics..

as for electric fans, i do not like them, exc for race apps.... even into the 11's i'd rather use an mechanical fan, on the daily driver i have a 7 blade 70s ac fan with clutch, 440 6 blade flex... small block has a 6 narrow blade flex.
once you're in motion, the fan really doesnt do much anyway, airflow does.
