[FWDLK] two?

hello, all on my '57 on the back of the temp gauge there is six male spade connectors It looks like one for the pos lead and one for the neg lead what are the others for??

And how is the speedometer needle connected, it dose not look to be friction fit is that a threaded shaft and nut?

I need to remove it to restore the face and needle...
