Re: [FWDLK] '61 Seneca

On the Seneca, we know the transmission is not stock - other than the Facel-Vega 4-speed in the 300F race cars, Chrysler didn't start using 4-speeds until '64.  I think we also know that the car is a 'built' car - it's a '61 and the ram tubes are '60 (not a likely factory combination).  Also, it's unlikely that a 413 would have been put in a Dodge in '61 -  much more likely to have been a 383, as that was available (from the sales literature), whereas the 413 isn't.

Sure would be a fun sleeper to own, but not at $25k for a built car, IMO.

I wrote to the seller, asking if there are any "emblems" on the rear of
the car, & could he tell me what its engine stamping number is.

So far, nothing heard back from him.

This puppy appears to have been a PURPOSE-built performance car!

Wonder if it's packing a Sure Grip?

What a sleeper!

Humm,, this has the long - long rams, will have to dredge up when the
short rams came out, MIGHT be right for 61!!

I would susspect that if this was factory built as a police intercepter
(stealth version) then if the short rams were available that year it
maybe should have had them??

I cannt tell if there are any drilled holes in the dash metal for
bolting anything to it. eg, radio, mic mount.

Wouldn't a police car be a 4 door??? even if it were unmarked for this
purpose??
