Re: [FWDLK] Miss Belvedere

I was at Iola old car http://www.iolaoldcarshow.com/ show and a museum was there from Branson MO, and is trying to get Miss Belvedere there to share a space they have with a very nice 57 in the same colors...
I do not recall what they were offering...

Thought there was a story about some museum offering $300,000 for it as-is. Was that just an urban legend? Wouldn't think the rust people would offer that much... or would they?

Now, let me clarify.
What I crudely tried to say was, that "as is" the car has great
historical and emotional presence. Once cleaned up and prettified, it
will lose that "as found" ambiance, and in my mind, most of it's value.
Of course, it will always be the "vault" car, just not "as found".
I still think that if the new owner (anyone know why he has it?) could
make much more selling it "as is".

You are correct. It will always be the car that came out of the vault

Well, at the risk of getting flamed, let me say...

It will never be just another 57 Plymouth. It will forever be the car
that
was buried for 50 years -- rusted hulk, or no.
