Re: [FWDLK] Carter B and B

A bad coil could cause that problem, have you checked the spark when it won't start?

I'm following up on a problem I had with a single barrel Carter B and B carb. I've since had the carb rebuilt at a very reputable carb shop, bought a new fuel pump and I am still having some problems. The car is running better with each thing I've done but it still dies unexpectedly every so often while idling. It always restarts but only after letting it sit for about 20 seconds. Whether it is hot or cold doesn't seem to matter. Points and condenser and rotor are new. I am thinking it is electrical but not sure what. Would a bad coil cause this? Thanks, Nick Nichols.
