Looking back at my own message, SCI states that 2nd gear was good for
85mph, but, their (best) 1/4 mile time/speed was @ 15.5/86mph, so, it
looks like their best speed may have involved a shift into 3rd, (which
may have slowed their E.T., because they got to 80 mph , probably still
in 2nd gear, in 13.2 seconds.)
Wonder why they didn't try to run the 1/4 in just 1st-2nd gear?
