Re: [FWDLK] 1956 Belvedere

That's because it's a Plymouth.  Nothing shocking about that story.

Glad you are happy!  Now go put some miles on it.

Subject: [FWDLK] 1956 Belvedere

As I have noted in the past I am the proud owner of a 1956 Belvedere.  When I purchased it I knew nothing about it.  Didn't know if it ran or not, didn't know what electical system worked or didn't....etc....

I bought the car just for the fact that I fell in love with it and wanted to do whatever I needed to in order to get her on the road.  Plus the price was one that I couldn't beat!!

Anyways,  with the break in the weather I hurried up and went to my garage and began to work on my new toy. tinkered with this and that just to get primed for some all out get my hands dirty work on the engine.  Drained the gas out of the tank.  (was in the tank for at least 10 years if not more.)  flushed out the line, put in a new battery and changed just the plugs.

Next thing I knew....She fired up right away!!  And man does she PURRRRRRRRRRR!!!  Took her out for a quick spin around the block and all my lights work signals etc...  Tranny seems to be just fine. (have yet to test her out on a long stretch for proper testing of smooth shifting.) Exhaust is just fine.  Never would be able to tell that she was sitting dormant for the time she was.  Not dormant anymore!!  She is out and couldn't be happier!!
