Re: [FWDLK] Jack retention

Greg,

Place the jack in the trunk with the base towards the bumper and the socket
for the lug wrench facing up. The spring hooks one end in a small hole in
the sliding part of the jack, located near the bottom under the hook. The
other end hooks into a small hole located in a sheet metal "loop" next to
the spare tire pocket. Ratchet the jack "up" by hand to take up slack, until
there is enough tension to prevent rattling. Don't over do it! To remove the
jack, flip the little lever on the jack so it ratchets "down".

Subject: [FWDLK] Jack retention

I just purchase a spring ment to retain the jack in the trunk of my 56
Dodge. I however, don't have a clue as to how it attaches. Could somone
explain how this is attached?
