Title: L-FORWARDLOOK Digest - 16 May 2008 to 17 May 2008 (#2008-132)

5.00 fuel bothers me a lot, an awful lot,,  Im  paying 5.00 fuel my electric is going up, the propane  in my shop is staggaring..  I have 12 appartments Im paying heating for… it all bothers me a very lot, Im just stating that the price of elec, fuel, propane, tires, etc.   almost everything has gone up, way up,   but so has my wages in the past from 1.00 a  hour to 20.00,  gas has went up from 50cents to 4.00   using common math  it should equal out,,, that’s all IM saying..  I don’t like it either. My check gets smaller each month with the expenses  ..I just don’t like being called ignorant by a teacher..no sense to that at all. Tom said you guys including me are ignorant and Im simply stating we are not any more ignorant with our opinions than he is..  Three glowing errors in a email Tom?,,,,  wow….

Maybe $5 gas doesn't bother you but combined with $5 heating oil and $6 diesel It all adds up to were are all in deep trouble in the next few years.

I have to agree with Neil,  4.00,5,6,7 even 8.00 gas  is not that big of deal,,you have to consider the inflation prices..  in 1957, 1.25 per hour was very good wages in the Midwest.  Most people didn’t get that, most got 1.00 hr.  gas was 29.9 per gallon.  Do the math,  gas has gone up maybe 12-14 times over but look at wages, most people now days are making 60-80K here in the Midwest…  we are all getting too excited over 4.00 gallon gas,,  we have just been spoiled with 1.00 gallon gas. We didn’t know what we had.  Reality is, there is nothing wrong with 5.00 gallon gas,, sure, we hate to pay it, but you cant have rain without cloudy skies
