Re: [FWDLK] INSTALLATION OF FRONT WINDLASS HELP

Hi Ed – I did mine a few years ago.  Can’t remember exactly how I did it but I don’t think I used glue. (I just went out and looked at it). I think I just loosened up all the pertaining screws and tucked the windlace edging in behind the trim and kick panel and tightened the screws.  It looks fine and has stayed in place.

Subject: [FWDLK] INSTALLATION OF FRONT WINDLASS HELP

Hello Group

To replace the front windlass (belting) that runs from the door sill plate to the top of the dash board along both sides,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Is there any way to get new nails in there along the area that meets the side of the dash????

I really do not want to remove the dash.

Has anyone done this ???

Is 'glue' (an ugly word) an option???

THANK YOU
ED ECKERSON
