Re: [FWDLK] Motor Oil and ZDDP

More on the subject of ZDDP in motor oils. While racing motor oils are great
for racing and diesel oils are great for diesels, they are not very good for
street driven cars. They have limited protection for several thousand miles
of street use and are not designed for use in street driven gasoline cars.
Most racing oils are too thick and lack long life additives. While GM EOS
additive has returned from the dead, it is not as concentrated a form of
ZDDP and results in diluting your oil of choice. The best option is to use
your preferred oil of the proper weight, plus a concentrated ZDDP additive.

Here are some other good articles on the subject, with great tech info:

Ford specialist Pop's Performance ( http://www.popsperformancecenter.com/ )
recommended a similar product to me: Joe Gibbs racing oil. They have a
product called Hotrod oil for older cars.

It aint cheeeep.
